LICENSED KISS CITY AND THEME PICKS
Beginning in 2010, KISS entered into a licensee agreement with Exit 215 Productions LLC dba Kiss Pick World to design, produce and sell their picks. In addition to the common tour picks, limited edition picks were also produced. Each limited edition pick is limited to quantities of 200. This page is dedicated to those limited edition picks. KISS changed their merchandise licensing from Signatures Network to Epic Rights in 2014. So at the end of 2014, the unsold stock to that point was returned per contract to the band. In 2015, a new licensee, Dead Tentacle LLC was created for Kiss Pick World to enter into a new contract with Epic Rights. By March 2020, the Kiss Pick World license ended. In June 2020 a new investment LLC was launched. In November 2020, Kiss Pick Haven was announced as the new official pick licensee with an expected website launch of February 2021.
From 2010 Sonic Boom through 2012 The Tour, the band had a very small quantity of
these placed at the bottoms of the booms on their microphone stands and chucked
a few into the crowd each night when they came out for their encore bows. Starting with the 2012 Monster
tour, they created 1 city pick per show and a set of country picks for each
country they visited. There were inconsistencies due to logistics, so they were
placed on mic stands at some shows but not placed on the mic
stands at other shows. Commemorative and theme night picks continue
to be made for the KISS Kruises each year due to demand. For the 2022 End Of The
Road Tour, the band again had a very small quantity of these placed at the
bottoms of the booms on their microphone stands and chucked a few into the crowd
each night when they came out for their encore bows. For 2023, there were both
regional pearl sets as well as individual country sets, both of which adorned
mic stands and guitars.
Collectors should be aware ALL of the 2010 picks (both Sonic Boom and Hottest Show) were bootlegged in the UK and Germany in large quantities. There are some "tells", but high quality photos and a trained eye is needed to be able to tell them apart. You can find some comparisons and analysis on the Fakes page.
